Flicking Through the Pages

Travelling Poetry

Flicking through the pages

A golden star on page 16

A vibrant ice cloak

Over green mountains

A sky drowned in colour

And a rainbow haze

I was there once

On a golden pirate ship

Flicking through the pages

5/5 across the countryside

Fireworks by the moon

The shadows of wildlife

It’s a rabbit, I’m sure

I was there once

Dining in a gothic castle

Flicking through the pages

SAVE OUR HORTON

Crowds with painted faces

Waving large banners

Clinging onto the clinical units

That they complain so much about

I was there once

Got no plans to go back
