Fire Burning

A Poem by a Peculiar Noodle

There is a fire burning

Every time we get together

It looks like there is a fire

Every time you are by my side

It feels like I’m burning

Every time you smile at me

-

We need to stick together

Even if people are against it

We need to fight together

Even if our light is too bright

Those people can get in the shade

-

This is something

Burning in your brown eyes

I will always wait for you

Your light, that fire

Burns in me

Making my hate

Turn to ashes

-

When you get close

A fire starts burning

When you walk away

The rain comes down

However, your fire

Keeps me warm

Even from afar

-

I keep it inside

Hidden in my chest

There is a fire burning

Sparks in the air

Burning pellets

Against the blue sky

Floating gracefully in the wind

-
