Finding Myself

Do you ever question yourself?

The answer is a simple yes

Life is full of unexplained questions

The biggest one I've ever had is who am I?

Sure I had a bit of an idea

Yet I always felt off

Being labeled as quite, emo, goth, etc..

Labels aren't something I like

Who gives a person the right to tell me who I am

nobody that's who

So yeah, I embraced the labels and went with it

Yet I wasn't any of that

I'm a rather shy person at first

I love to do new things

I'm a bookworm that can read for hours upon hours

Having a style that is unique to some but not to others

I'm simply me

The way I found myself took a little bit

Going through different phases of life

Yet I learned that no one can define who I am

The only person that can is me

I found myself through life

Change happened a lot

Yet now I know who I am

The answer is quite easy

I'm simply me
