Find Me
A Poem About Being Surrounded by People but Still Feeling So Alone
When it's dark I can see
When it's quiet I can hear
When I look around me
There's nobody near
I preach to others
It's not suffice
I can't even listen
To my own advice
I tell myself things
I no longer believe
As dusk turns to dawn
And day turns to eve
I find myself wishing
I wasn't alone
But the company of enemies
I somehow condone
I long for an answer
Out there somewhere
I keep on searching
For someone to care
To Guide me through days
Come dark and bright
The warm, and cold
And into the night
When I am found
Bear with me please
I'm on the ground
I'm on my knees
Take me in
Set me free
All of my worries
Will no longer be

Charlotte Hoy
I’ve been enjoying writing for a few years now. I mostly do it for my personal enjoyment but I have had comments saying I should share my poems with other people. So here I am. Most of my poems share the same theme, hopefully relatable.
