Fear

Light Through the Darkness

You took the light and made it dark

You drained the blood from the veins in my heart

You started a war within my head

Constantly battling till my soul was dead

You found a knife

It cut so deep

I appeared as if I was alive

But I could hardly breathe

From white to black

It changed so fast

The colors used to be bright

But you changed all that

The F is for Freezing cold

The E is for Everything that once was gold

The A is for All the love you took

The R is for Realizing you were a crook

You stole my happiness

You lowered my confidence

You tore away someone that once was me

That was until I realized I had my dignity

It gave me my life back

It taught me how to love

It gave me a reason to rise above

All of that anger

All of that hate

I am no longer your willing slave

You do not own me

I own me instead

No longer will you haunt me

I am no longer afraid

You turned everything bad

From everything good

You will pay for that

You should

I bet you didn't know

That I could be brave

And this strong

Fear thinks it won

But this time it's wrong

You will dissapear

You will stay away

Now I will focus

On a better day
