Fate

The way we left things was bittersweet.

I’ll always love you; you’ll always love me.

Sometimes people just aren’t meant to be.

I know this to be true, yet it’s killing me.

You have a piece of me heart I’ll never get back,

And oddly- I’m okay with that.

Just please don’t forget me, don’t let the memories fade-

And please don’t let anyone take my place.

Forever and Always, I thought that we had.

But you exhausted my options, and now we’re both sad.

Maybe someday by fate, we will drift back together,

But for now I need time to heal my heart that you severed.
