False Dilemma
A Poem Self-Published in “Candescent”
It was vain
But sin was gleaming
Gleaming brightly, in the light
I was slain
It left me grieving
Grieving long into the night
I gave my all and got back simply
Broken pieces of a heart
I've fallen
Down
Down
Down
To the depths of despair and misguidance
Hold me now, 'til fear depart
Beauty was
My captivation
And lusting minds
Brought forth demise
However, 'twas
Worth the struggle
Hammered hearts
But pleasured eyes
My transgression
Was satisfaction
My twisted thoughts
Caused many cries
But in my comfort
I lay to snuggle
With none but pride
And comely lies
