Fall Leaves

A Season of Colour

In the leaves of fall

When I open my eyes

What can become

Of our great disguise

/

Our world changes colours

As summer moves to fall

As our days grow shorter

As Night draws closer

/

What do you see

When you look to the sky

The fall weather changes

The Snow bearing clouds

/

I see the magic

Of leaves changing colours

I see the clouds

Bringing news of winter to come

/

I see the summer

Rolling away from our cold

I see the stars

Twinkling from above

/

I see the cool breath

Frosting the air

And I see you

All wrapped up in your sweater

/

By the glow of the dying daylight

By the warmth of the fire

By the glowing candelabra

By our will and our might

/

As fall weather rages

Moving in closer

Our world changes colours

As Summer moves to Fall
