Faith Walk

I feel the fire burn my feet

The heat nearly unbearable

Yet, I walk along my broken path

Waiting for your miracle.

I lower my head and speak your praise

Afraid to lift my eyes

For heaven above is not for the likes of me

A man such as I

My desire is wicked

My sin is great

Yet, your love is never failing

I don’t deserve the grace you give or

Your patience and understanding

Wasted on this human flesh of sin and sacrilege

I have turned my back on your word

While living the life you give

I bow my head in repentance

I beg forgiveness from you

I feel your grace come over me

Making me fresh and renewed

I give Thanks and Joy to the Lord above

Who loves a fool like me

For my heart is selfish

My love conditional

My weakness is his strength you see
