Eyes

Her eyes are blue.

Her eyes are bluest when she cries

Her speckled robin-egg-blue tints

Swaddled in thick forest-green-and-brown

Spots of sunshine.

Her eyes are greenest when she cries

The saddened, blue-silken top-most ocean

Swimming in swirls of sea-foam green

Speckled peaks of sun streaks.

Her eyes are golden when she cries

Sincere mid-afternoon sky-blue hope

Surrounded by a Sierra tree line

Shades of fall's yellow leaves.

Her eyes are blue.
