Every Time I’m with You I Feel as One

We haven’t hung out or spoken in a while,
so, it’s a little awkward when we decide to hang again.
At first, I’m short, answering every question & looking away trying to act like I haven’t missed him every single day.
The night goes on & I feel the old feelings turning back on. Next minute I’m tangled in his arms listening to that lovely heart.
Screaming why in my head but screaming yes in my heart. Thinking “Wow love, you really know how to make me fall for you all over again.”
This happens every time we link up & say that it’s just a friendship, knowing very well that what we have is something weird,
but it feels so special.
