They embraced her, held her close

The rhythmic pulse soothed her

Their words calmed her aching heart

They told her everything would be alright

She let herself feel, she opened her heart

Letting her tears stream down her face

Picturing him with somebody else

Asking if there was somewhere she could meet him

Knowing that the truth hurts but secrets kill

Talking to the moon knowing he’s out there

Wishing he would lie with her and just forget the world

She would of gave it all to him, cared for him

But she didn’t know where it all went wrong

She felt used, but still missed him

She’d do it all for him but he wouldn’t do the same

She just wished she could say what she needed to say

But he wouldn’t listen, he wouldn’t stay

So she drowned herself in her music, feeling the embrace
