You My Moon

You my moon,

made to where it is I that revolves around you.

interconnected through space and time.

take away all that is mine.

that glow I once had no longer capable

to outshine, your nefarious ways.

that silver lining no longer attainable.

align my light with your shadow

dreams, morality, optimism, purity

sucked into a black hole.

nothing short of disappointment.

all that I ever was, all that I ever could be,

occulted by you.

hungry, selfish being

devour my glory,

strip away my pride,

extinguish the fire inside me.

uncover my flaws for all to see

conceal my vision so all I see is you.

a sight so intimate, one would depict as memorizing

but only I can perceive it as a way to demise me

my hatred, my spite

forms an aurora so luminous around you

it could drive anyone blind with madness

you who has snuffed my light

and left me in a dark place so bleak, so somber

You my moon,

put me in an eternal eclipse

heartbreak
