Emphasis on The "A"

That’s how you say her name.

Emphasis on the “A”

That’s how they

Say her name, common

But so unique,

Mouth opening harmony

Short but swift,

Sweetly done.

It’s a song, a rhythmic tune

Stuck on your

Tasteful tongue

Roaming your

Tasteless thoughts

It wanders your

Lustful mind.

Formal and wild

All at the same time.

Emphasis on the “A”

'What’s her name?'

So beautifully written,

Each letter is a poem

On its own, but

Emphasis on the “A”.

That’s her name.

Say it over and over again,

Again and again.

Lie back on your pillow,

Have the “A” sound

Leak from your vocals.

Just so sweet and mellow.

Pour the rest of your

Incurable heart into it,

Sing her name.

Play the melody

On repeat.

Now you know her name,

Say it once more, just

Enough until your

Tongue bleeds; bleeding

On the blank pages

Spell her name with

The cold blood you’ll spill

From the next victim you’ll kill.

Yell her name,

Shout for her,

Emphasis on the “A”.

Make your next move.

Her name you can’t forget,

Her name carved into

The old walls of your

Lonely room;

Lonely in your isolation,

Her name: a violation

Of your personal creation.

‘Get rid of her name,’

But you can’t.

It will linger on

From your soul and mind.

Forever echoing “A”.

An attachment on

Your aching heart.

Her name, scream louder

At the “A”.

It’s a reminder,

A reminder of all

You’ve done, your regrets.

Her name you’ll

Continue to say

Before you rest

Your hopeless eyes

To sleep.

Her name you will

Always whisper

In your dreams,

The regret is so deep,

Your sanity you

Won’t be able to keep.

That’s what her name

Will do to you,

It’ll ship you up

The river back

The same way.

Crashing towards

The current waves.

Emphasis on the “A”.
