Emotion: Blue

There is a weight of water

Hung deep in my chest

A pouch

That is squeezed

Between heart and ribs.

Physical,

Emotional

Ethereal

Invisible

The feeling is a color

Is a feeling

Is blue.

Neither universal

Nor unique

There's always another shade,

A thousand

A million iterations

Of color,

Of the inner workings

Of the human soul

That no amount of words can express.

I feel and

I don't know how to feel.

Fight

Flight

Fright

To suppress is human

To succumb, divine.

And so I wallow in the blue

My own personal rain

And feel every facet of the shape that is pain

And emerge, at last,

Renewed.
