Echoes in My Path

“Your soul dispersed like twilight into the night“

Holding your hand

to the mountain we went

some days were hot

others were very cold

at the lake

no reflection

but only dark clouds

the promise

kept us alive

-

One day at the top

the clouds covered my feet

scared like a blinded ram

you took the lead

on the way down

to the fires of Hell

I asked for your hand

and all I heard was the echo

of my voice in the night

-

Your soul dispersed

Like twilight into the night

While I in the heat

Of this hell followed

Your smell

-

This trail of torture and pain

is over for me

Now that I see

Climbing over obstacles

I have forgotten about

Your sensual wicked smile

Your steaming curves

Your floundering sexy ways

-

Yet I hear you calling me

Echoing in the canyons

Of what now is an old path

-
