Duplicity of Being

Poem

It's enough to hold one together,

There's enough to account.

Variables like time and space,

And purpose and action,

Defining which is relevant.

If relevancy places a context.

The task gets blurred further more,

Limited to the moment,

Or, a historical process yet hexed.

Anticipation adds to suspense.

But, it goes on,

Every moment bent.

Shaped to choices rent.

Will they fit the ideal intent?

Expectation steps in waging content.

What is created is limited to,

The many variables so contributing.

It is so, no one has total control.

What is born, is a compromise toll.

Little happens in perfect intent.

So, as time and space revolve,

They are cyclic and eventual.

Purpose doled into the whole,

Splitting means for an end.

Duplicity is a weathered friend.

Ahhh, here we are,

Though clinging on,

To expect a universal one.

Conceding so,

Sometimes we are not a sole.
