Lavender sheets collapsed from paired hearts
Rooms once dark with passion
Now glows from hours passed
Sounds of new day play on repeat
Blank stares fill the dams vacancy
Attachments gapped with sweet nothings
Clothes damp from evening residue
Lie clinging to the borders
"Last night never happened"
She's not breathing, words tumble like fall leaves outside
She holds her ears, rocking to block the breaking
He leaves, no trace, only bursted seams
The floor contours for her, comforts her back
"Hello again" She pours, her barriers fall
Cracks split, the obstruction lost
Last night falls through the entrapment
The carpet like small fingers
Massage the kneads, trying to soothe her pleas
She has to let it pour
Only to go under construction once more.
