Dream a Better Dream

Every night i close my eyes

Hoping that there will be a surprise

And in my conscious is where it lies

Fears that may never divide

And hopes that try and hide

For my dreams are their playground

And my head seems to have surround sound

Every nightmare that i have each night

Feels like i have to put up a fight

Each nightmare seems to take a toll on me

My fears just won't let me be

It's not like i ever committed a crime

And i lose a little of myself each time

So each night that i pray

That my lord will let me see each day

So after everything is said and done

A better dream sounds like fun
