Down Town Black & White

City Love

It's not all black and white there are subtitle shades of gray.

I stood at the edge of the street,

the noise of traffic drowned out the fear of my heart beat,

It didn't look like the movies which called to me,

I was the leading male looking for the right plot to be twisted free,

Low lights at times bright lights confuse your mind,

wolves in sheep clothing trying to find,

Life,

The innocent blood of strangers new to this world a sacrifice,

I sacrifice to get a better life but for some reason the city strife,

addicting to me like heroin and crack pipes,

if I stand on top of the tallest buildings would I still be a low life,

I stood at the edge of the street
