Don't Worry

Strength & Depression

Don’t Worry.

I’m always the strong one.

The One people go to

when they feel themselves

falling apart.

(don’t they know

i fall apart, too,

sometimes?)

But Don’t Worry.

I’m like a rock

and I let them

carve their agonies

into my back.

(i’m c h i p p i n g

away,

into nothing.)

But Don’t Worry.

I’m an anchor,

and when they feel themselves

drifting away,

I pull them back.

(but this rope is tethering

and i feel the waver

as each thread b r e a k s.)

But Don’t Worry.

Tell me everything,

and I’ll sit here

and listen

because you need it.

(and you won’t notice

that i’m already

g o n e.)
