Do you see that homeless person
sitting in the cold,
All alone in a big wide world
with no one for them to hold.
Do you see that criminal
who just got caught stealing;
They had no education, no job and no money
but their children still needed shielding.
Do you see that bullied teen
how they used to be full of life,
Now they feel worthless and unloved
and are struggling to stay alive.
Do you see that orphan child
who lost their family and their home,
With stories of fear and anger
while they live their lives in a war zone.
Do you see that crying mother
tearing out her heart,
Because the murder of her child
made her whole world fall apart.
Do you see that innocent person
caught in the middle of hatred and greed,
A harmless soul who wanted peace
but instead was left out to bleed.
Do you see that little child,
They had only just turned eight,
Not even accustomed to the world yet
But already a victim of rape.
Do you see that poor old worker
making the things we need,
Yet getting paid so little
They can't even afford to eat.
Do you see that dying animal,
wandering on its own,
pollution and global warming
left them without a home.
Do you see that the world is on fire
won't you help us put out the flame,
Or do you ignore the background crying
because you are not the one to blame.
