Eyes as deep and blue as the ocean, I’m drowning in the sea.
i can't focus on anything,
or bring myself to tell you
that while you focus on our wedding ring,
i think you're just a distraction.
you had a hard beginning
and think that i'm your perfect end.
that's why it's hard convincing
you that i'm just a friend.
i'm losing hours of sleep.
my grades are going down.
that doesn't mean i can't keep
trying to defend myself.
"we're just friends,"
just isn't enough
to bring this to an end.
i can’t say "no,"
and it's killing me.
i wish you could see:
i just want to be set free.
