Disconnected
There are no real connections anymore
We communicate only through screens
Never saying much to anyone in person
A society plagued with social anxiety
Face to face encounters cause that tightness in your chest
Human interaction has become the hardest thing for us to do
We as humans are connected by WiFi
Our internet connection isn’t even physical anymore
Maybe this is also why loyalty has fallen out of fashion
Everyone seemingly only cares about themselves
Because they keep themselves so disconnected from the world
Other people’s feelings don’t matter
Because we don’t deal with other people’s feelings anyway
Presently
Catching feelings is bad
Like disease bad
Like Ebola bad
We can’t open our hearts to individuals
But we’re expected to open our hearts to the world?
