Demons

TW: Depression

You will always live your life with your demons. Everyone has demons.

Everyone. I also believe that ghosts and monsters are real. But they

don't live under our beds or in our closets, oh no... they live in our

heads. And sometimes, no matter how hard you fight, they win. And

when they do, you get to the point where they smother you, almost

literally. You can feel that pressure on your chest, and inside your

head, and no matter how hard you try to scream, or how loud, those

cries will never reach the outside world. And in that moment, you've

lost. You've become their rag doll, to do what they wish with, until

they are satisfied with themselves, and they'll recede back into their

hiding spot inside of you. But oh no, that's not the end. They'll come

back stronger, and win again. You'll come to a point where you'll find

yourself staring at a wall, and in that moment, nothing but your

internal fight to keep yourself exists. Everything and everyone else is

void. And the worst part is, you can't let yourself ask for help. Because

what would anyone say? They'd call you crazy, and they could never

understand how truly helpless you are in that moment. No, your

demons are a battle you must fight alone. Forever.

And they will win.

Every

time.
