Deathly Love

A Poem

"How deathless is a great love?"

Deathless

Love-

Immortal in our hearts,

Solid as the mountains behind,

as the winds blow over,

No sorrow may keep our love apart.

Divided as two,

and yet together as one.

Free as the red headed lovebird,

caged with you.

As empty as the birds carcass,

hidden under six feet.

Whithered like the flowers petal,

how did we become so heartless?

Lost in a warped time,

years from the start,

we look on.

It is inevitable my love,

as the hands chime.

An aged photo,

our only reminder of before.

A simple time before the toxic,

woes of a deathless love.

No longer more, a beat in my torso.
