The pain

That day will come, their last day here on earth

The pain will make you fall to your knees

It will be unexpected and make you freeze

Just be with them for their last moments and give them a squeeze

For they have spent their whole life with you

All they need comfort and they also need you

Be with them till the end, cuddle them and hold them tight

This will be the last time, please let them know everything will be all right

Remember they don’t know what’s going on

But they will still think that something is going wrong

They don’t know that they will never be with you again

Hold them and tell them everything will be okay, now and then

They will be out of their pain, but you’ll be full of it

You will feel like life is not worth living, you’ll throw a fit

Shaking and distraught, please focus on them

for their last minutes should be happy for them

Their whole life has been happy with you

so, they will want their final day spent with you
