Dear Starboy

A Fallen Star and a Wilted Flower

You've outshine them all.

Dear Starboy,

I didn't want half of your love,

I wanted all of it.

I was not being selfish,

no, I was being fair.

If you did loved me as much as you say you did,

Why would you have run away with the moon and the stars?

I would've run away with you,

For I have dreams too...

I always knew what kind of person I was sharing my heart with.

You were my star and I was your flower.

You, shining and mesmerized by all,

Me, loved for a short time,

cut and wilted later.

I'm sorry if I expected too much of you.

I never meant for you to burn out.

I only wanted what I needed most.

Love.

You could never see what was happening.

I alone could see what was yet to come.

I saw your beauty grow weak,

I saw your prideful heart,

I saw the arrogance grow,

I saw you change,

I felt your pain,

But you never felt mine.

I'm sorry I wasn't enough for you,

I'm sorry I couldn't give you what you needed,

I'm sorry you never saw the help you had,

I'm sorry I could never be a part of you again.

I am sorry.

All stars burn out,

All flowers wilt,

But continue to grow more with care.

Wish you could see me now,

I am alive,

I now thrive.

You are silent.

Cold, dead amongst the constellations.

All we needed was love.

I took mine all back.
