Dear Friend,

Our little boat is still afloat

Upon the great big sea of life,

Jehovah grant to us that we may live

In a world that’s free of hate & strife,

And that you, my friend, will find rest & peace,

That the wailing of sirens will someday cease

So that you may run & shout & play,

And stay outdoors the whole long day,

That we may be united, all,

In a world, however small,

And that in these terrible times, my dear,

You won’t suffer too much, but be of good cheer,

My friend, you have a heart of gold,

Stay as sweet as you are, & do as you’re told,

So that when the war has reached an end,

Everyone will want to be your friend,

May you always continue to thrive & grow,
