Day Two

For Jade

Day two.

Why so warped and askew?

Alone now, with time so few

We saw each other as mutual too

One night I needed, to see you off

But how do you know that?

My eyes were full, more than enough

There was one thing left I had to cough

This pain that hurts and kills and cramps

Is the love I had for you, but different

Not different because there was no love to see

There was plenty

But that the love for you was great to see

though maybe we both needed to be free

See all the love I gave to thee

Made me realise the fair love is not for me.

And now I thrive just for you

And see myself through the eyes of you

The time we had was not so few

You gave a lifetime, thank you
