Because I like my days with you and my nights with him

Day breaks us in bed

We lay intertwined

Our hearts in sync and arms aligned

And here and now with you

this feels safe

And then the sun sets and stars peer out the sky

And the waves stop crashing

And everything is still

Except from his clawing and scratching

I lose myself in his struggle

Succumb to his desire

There's flurry and frenzy and many things unseen

With the reflection of the moon guiding

At the edge of the horizon

Against the abandoned
