Darkness

I try to open up but my mouth is tied shut. I wanna break through the walls and scream out loud but the demons are holding me captive. I pull away and the fear is gone. Trying not to let the world down I find myself bowing down.

Would you hear me if I could call your name. Would you see me if looked your way. Would you pick me up and carry me along if I just let it all go and gave you my world. Will you rescue me, will you rescue me, will you rescue me from this darkness?

I carry the weight of the world but now I'm a broken man crawling. Everyone says to just pick yourself up but what happens when there's nothing getting up for? I try to battle through the toughest of battles set before me but I can't seem to find the strength to make it through this bitter darkness. Broken pieces is all I am left here before you but I promise to give everything left for you!

I wanna tell you everything that's held me back and closed me off but I don't think you'd understand. I wanna be able to express my entire love for you but I don't think there's enough in me to get through enough to you. You get angry and closed when I seem to pull away but that's when I need you most.
