Darker Times

A Poem

When life has exposed its nature as true Hell,

and all that's left is your own outer shell.

All that's left is to wait

for darker times.

When your presence goes unnoticed yet again,

and your taste has gone away.

All there is is envy of the dead,

just not in a practical way.

Your experiment has gone all wrong.

When the pain comes,

and your will doesn't last long.

I'll just keep waiting

for darker times.

My future is darker and murky at best.

The human race knows I failed the test.

Past my threshold of pain, I need to go.

First, I'll need courage from

these darker times.
