Dancing in the Rain
All the Way to Her Escape
She danced in the rain as it dripped down her face
Or was that a tear that water drops replaced
She splashed in a puddle that went up in a raid
Or was that her desires waiting for change
Her wet hair stuck to her back in one place
Or was that her hope trying to stay
Raincoat on wet pavement, clothes drenched just the same
Or was that her protection running away
She looked up to the crying sky
Grey clouds withered as they passed her by
She was the center of the storm but not the eye
She felt every ounce of mourn in its cries
Sunshine formed on either side
She could see the more but couldn’t get to it in time
She constantly wondered why she wasn’t enough to be kept warm in or outside
Yet she flourished in what she had
Cold showers went on for hours,
Yet she danced in them until she was dead
But even in rest, the clouds above her were upset
For inside her was already filled with dread
It just traveled to her body from her head
Now her thoughts are calm and collected
Because they no longer exist
Just as she suspected
The clouds stay quiet
in their wisp
Rain still falling...
but now in silence.
