Damaged

She may be pretty on the outside

But inside she hides secrets,

Secrets no one will understand

Or no one will care enough to give her a helping hand.

Secrets she tries to bury

But they're mostly her emotions

She tries to fake them

And put on a show

But at the end of the day

There's nowhere she can go

No one will understand

So why will they care.

She has learned to live with all the pain

Crying herself to sleep everyday.

She thinks no one notices

eventually someone does

But by the time someone helps

There is too much damage done.
