An Emotion Poem

Depression depression depression.

It's the blackest of blacks

and the bluest of blues.

Depression.

It happens when I can not sleep.

It happens as soon as I wake up.

I feel it all the time; like I know how

to swim, but yet I am drowning.

Depression.

It sounds like my passion snapping,

my breathe gapping, it sounds so loud.

Depression

It smells like the rain... it smells like

the blood dripping from my wrist.

Depression, depression, depression.
