Cyber Voice
A Story About the Dangers of Living Our Lives Through Social Media
It's sad to see, how we judge our self worth through a screen
Not all you love will love you back, a brand new day begins the next attack
Like me, follow me, pick my name above all the rest
Take your time, course I won't mind, send a reply, look at me, are you blind?
Up, down, it's colder now, invite their voice to calm you down
Swipe left or right, be cruel be kind, faceless eyes use device as a disguise
One more gone, lost the fun, how can you keep clicking on
One ain't enough, I must have more, six avenues to hurt me to my core
Cyber Voice, may vent your noise
But you don't see the demons watching you
Waiting to corrupt you
Type your lies
And fake your smile
Photoshop your veil
Put your brand up for sale
Impress a soul you'll never know
Infected by the poison they spit, still you don't quit
Through the venom, find the antidote, heal your heart cause the next wave will start
All this time, refine the line, imperfection ain't beautiful this time
All you see, this version of me, ideal to draw your gaze, approve of my face
The cycle spins
You'll never win
Reach for the blade
What have we made!?
Cyber Voice, may vent your noise
May vent your noise
But you don't see, the demons watching you
Waiting to corrupt you
Type your lies
And fake your smile
Photoshop your veil
Put your brand up for sale
Impress a soul you'll never know
