Customer Service Voice

Smoky Room, Distant Dining Car...

Smoky room, distant dining car

Customer service voice asks how you all are

Half assed, how are you?

No one cares, plainly true

Today, yesterday, likewise tomorrow

A hollow smile to mask all the sorrow

Utterly lonely, feelings repressed

Clothes don’t fit anymore, quite underdressed.

Isolated here, busy city

All that makeup, still not pretty

Nothing special, also a bore

Party pooper, mind at war

Fish above water, gasping for air

Sad little face, hidden with long hair

Dimly lit room, glowing cigar

Customer service voice asks how you all are

sad poetry
