If you can’t be happy, at least you can be drunk.— Rory Gilmore, “Partings,” Gilmore Girls

Chocolate,

Lollipops,

Icing,

And treats.

I tell you to wish

Me a happy Halloween

As I cupcake drink

Another glass.

Blacking out in fireplaces

And bathroom floors.

I drink more

Like substance

Abuse isn’t real

To the naked eye.

Tasting my

skin

With

another bite.

I take another cupcake

drink

Like

I do every night.

Wasting away my body

To my starry night

painting

I

see in my

bathroom

Mirror

every night.

So cut me open and see

The wine spill from my

Mouth like used puppet.

I’m cupcake drinking

But no one can help me.

Not even another

drinking

Meeting.

So let's play another drinking game.

Let’s get drunk and tell each other everything we are too scared to say sober.

It’s easy to be drunk when it’s hard to be sober. Drinking can solve problems but not at all times. It's better to let go...

If you ever want to know what I’m thinking, get me drunk.

That’s the problem with drinking, I thought, as I poured myself a drink. If something bad happens you drink in an attempt to forget; if something good happens you drink in order to celebrate; and if nothing happens you drink to make something happen.
