Cullen's Confession

A Poem

“Cullen's Confession”

There was an eclipse of the new moon in the twilight.

Hours before the breaking dawn.

Before our lips even touched it felt right...

It was the moment our eyes met that forever was born.

A hunger was alive inside of me...

A newfound insatiable thirst.

Could this be redemption for my lost soul?

Could it be I am now blessed & not cursed?

The leaves turned from green to brown...

Then the snow fell, slowly, tenderly as a feather it graced your lips.

Time stood still as you danced in your prom gown...

I knew there & then that love did exist.

Echoes of solitude from the depths of loneliness abandoned me.

Red-blooded passion surprised my ice cold veins.

A beautiful symphony now played inside of me...

The music pounded my dead heart into flame.

As the wolves, howled in the distance under moonlight.

The vampires ran through the forest out of sight.

I knew this life was no longer mine to live alone.

For in your soul, I found my home.

I am living dead...

This much is true.

No one has ever loved someone...

Like I love you.
