Crystallized

As we stood there,

that moment crystallized.

Light reflecting off every surface,

sweat dripping into our eyes.

I looked around frantically,

because surely everything couldn't be right,

about this second,

this minute,

this hour,

this night.

But I am so sure it was,

because I remember every word,

and I don't think I'd remember that,

unless they were so deeply heard.

So thank you for the moments,

thank you for the lights,

thank you for the sweat,

and thank you for the night.
