And tell me when to pull away
I'm nothing without your guiding voice
You make me feel like loving you isn't a choice

So far have I fallen for you
Tell me, did it work for you, too?
Sometimes photos with you smell like blue smoke
And I'm just expected to forget, to cover up the hole
From the bleeding heart you took

Come crashing down, all around
My heart was mine to give
Now it's yours to hold
A heavy burden
Or so I've been told

Keep your quick cash in the bag
It's nothing to my overflowing stash
Of notes from my empty admirers
Never-mind my sideways glances
I have given you one too many chances

Pack up the car and get on gone
There's no rhyme or reason to the song
You sang for me when you lfet
It's vacant like your eyes were
The night I told you that you were my sky

Come crashing down, all around
My heart was mine to give
Now it's yours to hold
A heavy burden
Or so I've been told
