"... Could You Be My Bucky?"

Bucky Barnes

"I am looking for my Bucky Barnes."

I murmured more than once as I fell asleep,

the image of a playful and loyal guy

slowly beginning to creep.

I am a Marvel fan-girl deep at heart

this much should be obvious,

loving the idea of a guy with

that badass charisma without the cockiness.

"He has to be out there somewhere.

I just have to find him."

as coursing through my body was desire and whim.

"I want him to be funny and strong too,

with sarcasm clearly his second language

from every angle of view."

Someone that would stand beside me

and have the other 50 percent to meet mine,

loving me even with all my faults

as I drag him with me to cloud nine.

You may be my Bucky

I don't quite know as of yet,

but if you want to take a chance

there would be no need to fret.

From just talking with you I just have to say,

the fact that you are a Military brat as well

and love the flag as much as I do...

is something I can't downplay.

Someone that is playful and intelligent

really turns me on,

compared to the men that should have

a huge warning sign floating above their head

that just says, "My brain is gone."

I want someone to be my best friend

and the love of my life,

only boyfriend and girlfriend

but playfully introduces me as his 'wife.'

The kind of man that gives his love

to only especially chosen women,

the ones in his family and his one girl—

all of whom he shall try his best to listen.

If you want to be friends

until we fully get to know each other

I completely understand,

but please just let me know where you stand.

I think that by the way that you are looking at me

that I can just take a guess,

but do me a favor

and please don't let what could be shyness

ruin something that could be progress.

About the Creator

Stephanie Lifton

Hi! You will soon find different varieties here. I am a writer and a poet, though I am still passing some stepping stones with this. I get wrapped up in the poem sometimes and it may turn out long in the end, so I apologize in advance. :3
