To often I see it, almost every day
People win power to control and scheme
Their minds and motives, fuelled with greed
Our streets are run by ruthless villains
Whole families lost to merciless killings
Penetrated by power, they can see no beauty
Battery and bruising, another day on duty
Corruption chimes throughout the air
Harmonising with the laws alarm
And if you are blessed with enough currency
They will make your crimes go away, no harm
Disguised as heroes but they're as crooked as rats
Prevailing still is protected brutality
Destroying hope, with tasers and bats.
Tell me, where is the humanity?

Finding Contentment
