You ever felt that pain, that pain that you feel inside?

When you walk to the room and see your momma cry.

Bills coming in, and y’all barely getting by.

So you ask her momma are we alright now?

She say life’s catching up and there’s no way out.

She says she’s scared and it’s time to pray now.

She says she’ll keep you safe even when she falls down.

So now you’re in your room sitting and wondering, what can I do to stop her suffering.

Sell a couple pounds damn now I’m bugging.

Maybe rob a nigga ya now I'm thugging.

Gotta get this money gotta reach for something.

Got to get us out got to make my momma proud.

Tell me what I got to do just to fly us out.

I tell her momma don’t you worry I got it from here.

I know I'm going to make a mill don’t want you to drop a tear.

And never have another fear of when we’ll have another meal.

Or worry about another fucking bill.

Or worry about are we moving or are we staying still.

Understand I got you I understand everything that you do.

All the weight on your shoulders all the struggle we go through.

She says baby I hope that you’re fucking right.

Because I’m tired of being broke and not eating every night.

Sending prayers to the heaven pleading just to survive.

I’m tired of working all these nine to fives.

Wanted the American dream and found out it’s all a lie.

Tired of being strong when I know it’s all a disguise.

I said I’ll be strong for you, she said I know you’ll try.

I said dear lord can you really hear me out.

Send me a mill and just send it right now.

Because my momma praying loud but you’re not making a sound.

She says she prays to you every night.

She says she tells you she can’t see the fucking light.

She says she understands she got her hand dealt but she needs some help.

Can you understand how that felt?

So I listen for an answer that is unclear.

Going through this life with all this fucking fear.

Because I’m on a bigger mission to stop my momma's tears.

Just tryin' to find the right path that I need lead.

Tryin to find out what each fall really means.

Can you tell me what I got to do and what I need.

Just to get my momma out and go live her dreams.
