Continuously Exceeds
'Continuously Exceeds' is a poem about the dangers and effects of negative thoughts. Many people go through this and have felt this way. This poem was made to show those with bad thoughts that they are not alone and hopefully to encourage others to make sure they are alright.
I will lay in bed for hours and no one will hear my cries,
Or see the tiredness in my eyes,
Look at me,
And see I’m not the person who I want to be.
There’s treasures I desire,
But my overtired self won’t let me.
A gush of emotion was over me like a monsoon,
While I hope it’ll all be over soon.
I wish I could scream, to let it out,
But there’s no doubt that after I’ll say that I’m fine,
But I’m nothing but fine.
I fail to get the help I need,
Even though my thoughts continue to exceed,
But I’m scared to say that,
Scared I’ll get laughed at.
So I keep quiet and just mile like I just won a mile race.
So let this be a lesson to all,
That some can’t always rise after the fall.
Make sure they are okay,
Make them in this world want to stay.
