Compromise of the Heart

A Poem

Although I believe Life and Love are Eternal...

I Believe we walk this Lifetime only once.

There are Chances we take, Choices we make...

That Determine our Destiny.

Fear can be such an Invisible Barrier...

And True Love may come along only once.

There are those that Forsake and Live with Heart Ache...

That live only in Fantasy.

There are those that simply settle and Compromise.

With a Heart so unfulfilled and an enduring Sadness in their Eyes.

But this life is not a practise and we don’t get a second chance.

So I choose to follow only my Heart and wait for True Loves Glance.

And if I am to wait in vain...

I will wait in the knowledge that I am to blame.

But I will not give all I am unless I Believe...

Completely in the the Woman in front of me.

Maybe one day...

Lightning will strike, the Soul will Ignite.

When you feel it you will know.

For there will be no doubt inside...

You will not be able to hide, the happiness that you show.

Maybe...

For each Lonely Heart that wanders there is one just the same.

But for every Heart of Fire there are those that can Diminish it with their Rain.

So I send this Prayer out to all those in need...

Never Compromise with your Heart for it will only ever Bleed.

Stay True to Yourself.

As you go on Life's Journey.

Don’t be afraid of the unknown...

For you are Braver than you see.
