“Wow. She’s famous”

“She’s on TV?? She’s only 20.. man she’s two years younger.. but already famous?!”

“Bro! She sings so well!!! Man I wanna be like her and go audition for The Voice, or American Idol, or America’s Got Talent or something where I can be discovered too!

But...

It seems so far away..

I’m not there yet..

I’m still in school

I have nobody to help me

I’m not as noticed or cool as they are

When am I ever gonna get to their level..

Should I just give up..?

Do not fear. Believe in dreams.

“No. No way. I can’t listen to my head right now”

*Shakes head to get rid of negative thoughts*

“Of course I shouldn’t give up, I can’t!”

They may be cooler or they may be one step closer than where I wanna be eventually in the future.. BUT that shouldn’t stop me from stopping the steps I’m taking to get there!

I may not be as good of a singer as her, but I can STILL sing!

I may not be in TV, but my friends and family and close best friends encourage me daily!

They make me feel so special about how talented I am! How it’s amazing to them that I don’t only just sing, but I write songs, rap, write and speak poetry, super nice and friendly, play instruments, and always determined to do my best!

I don’t need to fear or be scared or be consumed with comparing myself to others because I have my own dreams, own goals, own talents, own personality, own timing, and own purpose!

I have to realize that everyone is different and succeed in their own pace!

I’m more determined than ever to reach and fulfill my dreams and make them into reality even if it takes longer than others and may take different routes than others!

I’m excited to where my future and what my future will lead me!

I do not need to fear, I just need to believe in my dream.
