Comfort

Sad

Stop writing sad love poems.

It used to make you feel better, a quick temporary pick me up for the minutes before you fall asleep so you no longer had a soggy side of a pillow to flip over before you could breathe...

Just breathe and sink into the kind of sleep you don’t dream in. Dreams turn into nightmares and nightmares turn into your reality.

You have so much more to offer.

He is not the world, you just keep giving him yours and He is not a king, you just put him on a pedestal. He is not worthy of the gentle, constant, rock hard love you hold but you give it to him anyway... why?

You are more then your sadness.

Write about beautiful things.

Flowers. You are growing just like the sunflowers outside your window, growing to reach the sky and be strong and vibrant. People stop to look at you and admire how beautiful colorful and confident you are. Flowers like you get cut down. Put in a vase and sit to look pretty. Flowers like you, die. At the hands of amusement of others that thought you were beautiful.

Stop writing sad love poems.

You’re only making it worse.

You get so low you try to get high in ways you never wanted to.

It doesn’t get easier, you just get comfortable.

While you try and find the care and love his eyes held in everyone you meet, instead You’ll find different colored eyes to sink into. Never the same light blue ocean you almost drowned in.

And Honey look at you. Soft, warm, convenient lips will be easy to find.

So while it doesn’t get easier, you will find comfort in writing sad love poems.
