I received a wealth of comic vision
& ordered a case of smooth derision
Opening my eyes, I was prepared to go
Up on the stage & on with the show
With my bleached brain covered with snow
Ghost voices sing a children's song
(children sing a jump rope song)
Comedy
Tragedy
Life & Death
He fell from grace
Into a morbid curiosity
Bondage
Discipline
Let's raise a glass
To this new monstrosity
A psychophant
Wrastling in three dollar bills
w/. a 250 pound woman
Hear the snake tail shake.
(a baby rattles his toy)
A snuff film plays on a small projection screen
as a zombie comedian tells tales to the laughing dead
(a baby giggles)
These words read like acid
Tired eyes
as the worms crawl on by
Sentences rain down
& come alive
We are not content
We will never be happy
until the final edit
She laid the book down & yawned
thinking of a past lover
it was time to rest her head &
escape into a midnight dream
Who among you have seen
the rise of the dawn?
Turn the page from day &
into the dark slumber of the night
Come together now
my frightened children
See the peg legged man
dancing in the spotlight
Dancing like the savages
in an orgiastic frenzy
as a captured naked virgin cries
soon to become a cannibalistic delight
They've come to take me away
They've come to tear this circus down
Soon it would all be over... done
A fat lady was heard practicing her swan song
